Someone posted your private media. We get it taken down.
Leaked intimate photos or video (revenge porn), stolen paid content, a fake profile using your name, or your address. Send us the link and we get it taken down. You never contact the website yourself, and your name doesn’t appear on the notice.
Nothing is sent to anyone until you say so. You can stop at any point.
Is this you?
What we remove
If one of these sounds like your situation, we can help. If it doesn’t, tell us anyway and we’ll say so before you pay anything.
Intimate photos or video, posted without your permission
Taken privately, taken from a device, passed on by someone you trusted — or an AI-generated fake that looks like you. It’s now on a tube site, a forum or a file host.
The law we use: TAKE IT DOWN Act (US) · DSA Art. 16 · GDPR Arts. 9 and 17
A fake profile using your name and pictures
An account pretending to be you — messaging people you know, asking them for money, or posing as you professionally.
The law we use: the platform’s own rules · DSA Art. 16 · GDPR Art. 17
Your address or phone number posted to hurt you
Private details, a data dump, or photos that aren’t explicit but were never meant to be public — on paste sites and public boards.
The law we use: GDPR Arts. 17 and 21 · DSA Art. 16 · the site’s own rules
Content you made and own, copied and reposted
Subscription content on mirror sites and aggregators. This is the one case where you own the copyright, which makes it the quickest kind to remove.
The law we use: DMCA § 512(c) (US) · DSA Art. 16
Read this first
If the person in the photos or video is under 18, do not use us.
This applies even if that person is you. Go to the police, and to NCMEC Take It Down or the Internet Watch Foundation. They can act faster and harder than any commercial service, and it costs nothing. Tell us and we’ll point you straight there without charging you.
Three steps
How removal works
You do the first step. We do the rest, and you can watch it happen from your account.
STEP 01
You send us the links
Paste the web addresses and type your name to give us permission to act for you. No passport, no selfie, no home address.
STEP 02
We send the legal demands
First the website itself. If it ignores us, the company whose servers it runs on — they have their own rules about what they will host, and far more to lose than the website does. Our name is on the legal notice, not yours.
STEP 03
It comes down, or you don’t pay
We keep checking the page until it stops loading. If we run out of things to try and it’s still up, the credit goes back to you.
See exactly what happens, day by day
Timings below are typical, not promised.
Right away
You paste the link and sign
Copy the web address, tell us what kind of content it is, and type your name to give us permission to act for you.
Within minutes
We work out who to write to
Every website sits on someone’s servers. We work out which company that is, because a hosting provider can take content down even when the website owner won’t.
Same day
The website gets a legal demand
It goes out in our name, on your behalf, citing the law that applies to that recipient. You get a copy. They reply to us, not to you.
1–3 days
If they ignore us, we go over their head
Next we write to the company whose servers the website runs on. Losing their hosting is a far bigger problem for a website than deleting one page.
When it’s gone
We check, and we tell you
Our system keeps checking the page until it stops loading, then records the date and time so there’s a record of when it came down.
If we fail
You don’t pay for it
Once every step has been tried and a person here has reviewed the case, the credit goes back into your account to use elsewhere. Prefer the money back? Ask us and we’ll refund your card.
Where the money comes from
Why we’re different
Many removal services charge every month, which means they earn more the longer your content stays online. We only get paid when it comes down. Everything else follows from that.
| Comparison point | Many monthly services | RemoveMyLeak |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay | A fee every month, whether anything comes down or not | Per website. No monthly fee, and nothing expires |
| When they get paid | Every month it’s still online | Only when the removal is verified |
| What you hand over | Your passport, into their database — and often your name on the letter | A signature giving us permission. Our details go on the letter, not yours |
| If we fail | Fees kept regardless of whether the host refused | Credit returned to your balance if all attempts fail |
| Which law they use | Usually a copyright complaint, whoever actually owns the content | The law that fits your situation and binds the company we’re writing to |
| What you can check | Success rates with nothing published behind them | A public report with our removal rate, our timings, and who ignores us |
| Who you’re dealing with | Often no company name or address anywhere on the site | Stryne, Salland 1, 1948 RE Beverwijk, Netherlands — KvK 42096644 |
The middle column describes a model common in this market, not any one company. If you’re comparing us with a specific service, ask them for the same seven answers in writing.
Clear, fair pricing
Pay only for what gets removed
No monthly subscription, no hidden fees, and no paying for sites we can’t take down.
Per website
Covers all the pages on a single domain
Your first website is free.
After that, credits are sold in packs, and a pack of more works out cheaper per website. You are only ever charged for the websites you actually send us.
- The full sequence of notices: sent to the site owner, then to the company whose servers the site runs on.
- We keep checking: automatic re-checks of the page until it stops loading, with the date and time recorded.
- Free refiling within 30 days: if it reappears on a site we’ve already cleared, we deal with it again at no charge.
- Credit back if it fails: once every step has been tried and a person here has reviewed it, the credit returns to your account.
Getting it out of Google isn’t included — here’s why
Search-engine removal has to be done by hand, one web address at a time, so we can’t fold it into the per-website price. It’s part of the Dedicated Case Manager add-on alongside, and you can add it while the case is open.
No payment details or ID needed to submit your first link.
Not sure how many websites it’s on? Most people aren’t. Send us the links you have and we’ll tell you what we find before you pay anything.
Dedicated Case Manager
For sites that stall, or hide who really hosts them
What you get
- A dedicated case manager: takes personal control of your case and works it by hand, start to finish.
- Notices written for your case: not a template — tailored to this site, this host, this jurisdiction and this type of content.
- Manual investigation: we find who really hosts the site, traced by hand when a reseller or privacy service hides it.
- Site owner and host approached together: rather than one after the other, each waiting out a full response window. Your manager reads every reply and chases whoever goes quiet.
- Search-engine removal: every web address submitted to Google and Bing by hand. They decide — de-listing usually applies in Europe.
- Direct messaging: talk to your case manager from your case page, with replies the same day during business hours.
What we guarantee
We check the URLs on your case 14 days after your case manager starts. If the content is still live, we refund the fee to your card — no forms, and it is separate from the credit-back on the website itself.
One-time payment. Not a subscription. Prices are in US dollars and include VAT where it applies — nothing is added at checkout.
Discreet bank statement
Charges appear as STRYNE on your statement — never RemoveMyLeak. If you share a card or account, nothing reveals what the payment was for. You can also switch off email notifications in your account.
14-day EU consumer refund right
You have 14 days to cancel any online purchase. Because we start writing to websites straight away, we ask you to confirm immediate service start when you send a request. If you cancel before dispatch begins, we refund you in full.
Why a website listens
How this is legal
You don’t need to understand any of this to use us. But if you’re wondering why a website that ignored your own emails would answer ours, this is why.
EU · GDPR Articles 9 and 17
Your right to have information about you deleted
European law gives you a strong right to demand that information about you be erased, and it treats anything to do with your sex life as needing extra protection. The right has limits — it doesn’t override journalism, court records or a legal obligation to keep something — but for intimate images published without your consent, those exceptions almost never apply.
EU · Digital Services Act Article 16
Why a properly written letter changes everything
Websites and hosting companies are normally shielded from being sued over what their users upload — but only for as long as they don’t know about it. A notice in the correct form ends that protection. Once they have been told properly, they are exposed if they leave it up. This is the single biggest reason a host that ignored you will answer us.
US · TAKE IT DOWN Act
A deadline American platforms have to meet
US federal law requires covered platforms to remove intimate images published without consent within 48 hours of a valid request from the person shown in them, and the Federal Trade Commission can enforce that. Many of the sites this content ends up on are covered. Several US states have their own laws on top.
US · Copyright, DMCA § 512(c)
Only when you actually own the content
If you made the content yourself, copyright is the quickest route of all — hosts and search engines lose their legal protection unless they take it down. Some services file a copyright complaint whatever the case really is, because those get processed fastest. That is a false statement under US law and it is you who can be sued for it. We only use it when the content is genuinely yours.
For fake profiles we use the platform’s own rules alongside the law above. Most platforms remove impersonation accounts once it is put to them properly, with the right evidence.
Before you pay
What we can’t do
Anyone promising to wipe something off the internet forever is lying to you. Here’s where we stop.
We can’t promise it stays gone
Once something has been copied, someone can put it back up somewhere else. If that happens within 30 days on a site we’ve already cleared, send us the new link and we’ll deal with it under the same case, free.
Some websites never reply to anyone
A small number of hosting companies ignore every legal letter they get, from everyone. We try every route, we name them publicly, and if none of it works you don’t pay for that one.
We can’t remove news reports or court records
Journalism, public court documents and official government records are protected, and the law that helps us elsewhere specifically doesn’t apply to them. If that’s what you’re dealing with, we’ll tell you straight away.
It has to be you, or something you own
You need to be the person in the content, or the person who made it. We can’t be used to take down someone else’s lawful content, a bad review, or a page you simply disagree with — and we close accounts that try.
We can’t reach someone’s phone
If the photos are sitting on a person’s device, or in a private group chat on WhatsApp or Telegram, there’s no website to write to. This only works on content that has been published somewhere.
We’re not lawyers
We write to websites for you. We can’t give you legal advice, take anyone to court, or get you compensation. If you need a lawyer we’ll say so, and hand over everything we have on your case.
Sometimes there’s a free option that’s better than paying us
If you still have the photo or video yourself, StopNCII.org can block it across a lot of the big platforms at no cost.
We keep the web addresses you send, your signature and the date — that’s the record that makes our letters valid. We don’t download or store the images themselves, and you can withdraw your permission at any time from your account or by emailing us. Read the privacy statement.
Free, and you can stop at any point.
Answers
Frequently asked questions
Will the website find out who I am?
Not from us. Our name and email go on the letter, and every reply comes to us. Two honest exceptions: if the content itself shows who you are, the website already knows — and occasionally a formal process, like a court order, can require you to be named. We’d talk to you before that ever happened.
Do I have to send you my passport or ID?
No. You type your name to confirm you’re the person affected and to give us permission to write on your behalf. That signature is what makes the letter valid. We keep it, and we’d only ever show it to a website that formally questions whether we’re allowed to act for you.
Do I have to look at the content again?
No. We need the web address, not the file. You never have to open the page again, upload anything, or describe what’s in it beyond picking a category. Your account shows links as plain text — no previews, no thumbnails.
How will the charge appear on my bank statement?
As STRYNE, the name of the company that runs this service. It doesn’t mention RemoveMyLeak or say what the payment was for. If you’d also rather not receive emails from us, you can switch those off in your account settings and check your cases by signing in instead.
What happens if the website just ignores us?
That’s the normal case, and it’s where we earn our money. We go over their head to the company whose servers the site runs on. Hosting providers have their own rules about what they will allow, and far more to lose than the website does — losing your hosting is a much bigger problem than deleting one page. Most content that comes down comes down at that second stage, not the first.
Do you contact Google as well?
Yes, but it’s part of the Dedicated Case Manager add-on rather than the standard price, because each web address has to be submitted to Google and Bing by hand. Two honest caveats: search engines decide these requests themselves and can refuse, and de-listing usually applies in Europe rather than worldwide. It is still the difference between your name being searchable and not.
How long does it take?
Big platforms often act within hours. Smaller sites and forums usually take one to three days. Websites that only move once we go to their hosting company can take one to two weeks. We publish our real timings and they change month to month.
Can you remove leaked OnlyFans or other paid content?
Yes, and this is the quickest kind of case. Because you made the content, you own the copyright, which means we can use copyright law — the route hosts and search engines act on fastest. Send us the sites it’s been reposted to and we’ll handle each one.
Can you remove things from Telegram or WhatsApp?
Only partly, and we’d rather say so up front. If something is circulating in a private group chat, there’s no website to write to and no notice that reaches it. Where content sits on a public Telegram channel or a linked file host, we can act against the host and the platform. If your situation is a private chat, tell us and we’ll say honestly that this isn’t something we can fix.
What counts as one website?
One domain name. If your content is on twelve pages of the same site, that’s one website and one charge — send us all twelve links. If it’s on three different sites, that’s three. If you’re not sure how many you’ll need, start with the free one and see.
What if you can’t remove it?
If the page is still up after we’ve been through every step and someone here has looked at it by hand — normally within 14 days of us trying — you don’t pay for it. The credit goes back into your account so you can use it on a different site, and we’ll tell you. If you’d rather have the money than the credit, ask us and we’ll refund your card instead.
Can I change my mind after paying?
Yes, before we’ve started — email us and we’ll refund you in full. As an EU consumer you have 14 days to cancel an online purchase, and because we begin writing to websites immediately, we ask you to confirm you want us to start straight away and to acknowledge that the 14-day right ends once a takedown has been fully carried out. That’s a legal requirement, not a way of keeping your money — if we fail, you still get the credit or a refund.
Do my credits expire?
No. There’s no monthly fee and nothing runs out. What you buy stays in your account until you use it.
I’m not in Europe or the US. Does this still work?
Usually yes. What matters is where the website and its hosting company are, not where you are — and most of them are somewhere we can reach. Where they aren’t, the site’s own rules and its hosting company often still give us something to work with. We’ll tell you what we can do before you pay.
Who are you, exactly?
RemoveMyLeak is run by Stryne, a company registered in the Netherlands — KvK 42096644, VAT NL005492190B11, at Salland 1, 1948 RE Beverwijk.
If you’re struggling with this, you don’t have to handle it alone
Having this happen to you is genuinely distressing, and there are people whose job is to help with exactly this. In the Netherlands, Helpwanted.nl. In the UK, the Revenge Porn Helpline. Elsewhere, tell us where you are and we’ll point you to the right service. None of them charge.
